    Operational Research is a growing profession within Office for National Statistics (ONS) . ONS is the largest producer of official statistics in the UK and as part of the UK statistical system is dedicated to producing high quality analysis and statistics to inform better decisions.     The STOR-i Centre for Doctoral Training at Lancaster University offers a pioneering four-year PhD programme with a ground-breaking approach to Statistics and Operational Research, developed and delivered in partnership with leading industrial partners including ATASS, BT, Morgan Stanley, Rolls-Royce, Shell and Tesco. There are typically 10-12 fully-funded places available each year.
