OR53 Annual Conference

6-8 SEPTEMBER 2011

East Midlands Conference Centre, Nottingham

Downloads

Our OR53 conference has a grand list of 31 parallel streams offering a wide variety of interest on many topics including some new ones such as Analytics, Green Logistics, Bio-informatics to name but three!  Then, there’s a great one day Practitioners event incorporating some ‘hot topic’ workshops, the prestigious President Medal awards and much much more.  Our traditional and all inclusive excursions this year visit the Galleries of Justice, www.galleriesofjustice.org.uk/ , Newstead Abbey (once home to the notorious poet Lord Byron), www.newsteadabbey.org.uk, and last but not least the Rolls-Royce Light Alloy Foundry site, www.rolls-royce.com/about/heritage/heritagetrust/index.jsp, (an extensive collection of aero engines and vintage cars)

The event will be held at the award-winning East Midlands Conference Centre (EMCC) in Nottingham. The EMCC is set in 330 acres of beautifully landscaped parkland right at the heart of the renowned University of Nottingham. Located on the University Park Campus within easy access to the main transport links by road (M1), rail (East Midlands Trains from London St Pancras International) or air (East Midlands Airport).

The University of Nottingham was established in 1948. It is now one of the UK’s top universities and offers a wide range of subjects.  It has a strong reputation for research, with two recent Nobel Prize winners in Sir Clive Granger (Economic Science) and Sir Peter Mansfield (Medicine).
