Stream Definition

Inventory management is the overseeing and controlling of the ordering, storage and use of components used by a company in the production of items as well as the management of the quantities of finished products for sale. It is seen as one of the most important assets a business has and a major investment that is tied up until the item is used or sold. Papers relating to various aspects of inventory management modelling are welcome, but we are also interested in wider areas which may include but not limited to the design or use of IT systems,  reduction of waste and environmental impact and the effect of human adjustments. Industrial contributions with applications and case studies are particularly encouraged. One of the aims of this stream is to share knowledge and enhance understanding between academics and practitioners.
