Criminal Justice Special Interest Group

The overall purpose of the group is to enable practitioners and others interested in Criminal Justice matters to share ideas and O.R. methods with a view to spreading the word about O.R. and improving the effectiveness and efficiency of CJ services.

‘Criminal Justice’ in this context takes a broad definition, through crime prevention, policing and judicial processes, offender management and after-care; and involving service providers across the public, private and third sectors.

The group operates as an informal network with events held several times a year at which case studies are shared and new techniques or applications discussed. Anyone interested in these matters, whether academic or practitioner, is welcome to join the group.
