SD+ Special Interest Group
SD+ is based on the idea that system dynamicists already have
the forums to communicate with each other and to discuss specialised SD
issues. Instead, what is needed is a means to connect SD more strongly with
MS/OR. These connections work in two ways. Firstly, by connecting MS/OR workers
interested in finding out more about SD with the concepts, literature and practice
of that field. Secondly, by encouraging specialist system dynamicists to explore
the connections between SD and other disciplines. Such connections would therefore
be of interest not just to specialist system dynamicists but to a broader range
of people interested in the relationship between SD and general MS/OR. In this
way SD is opened up to a broader range of people, applications and research
questions.
The aims of SD+ are to provide a forum
which:
- Increases the understanding and practical use of SD amongst
interested members of the broad, international community of the OR Society
- Allows specialist system dynamicists to explore the connections
between SD and other MS/OR approaches
