The delegates will be given practical instruction in creating a business analytics strategy. This involves detailed examination of the business model of the organisation followed by an analysis of the value of different types of analytics. This course is for analysts and managers responsible for achieving value from investments in analytics and data science. Public sector, private sector and third sector applications will be considered.

This course will teach you:

  • How to identify the key strategic issues for an organisation.
  • How to map the business model of an organisation.
  • How to identify opportunities for business analytics and data science.
  • How to determine the business value of analytics.
  • How to design a strategy for business analytics.

Using case studies for experiential learning, you will learn about analytics as an area of key investment for many organisations, how organisations need to identify business value in analytics investments, how there is a shortage of analytics professionals in the job market, how most organisations are immature in their use of analytics and need strategies and that the analysts who can identify business value from analytics are in the most demand.
