Preparing OR Graduates for the Age of AI

Join the Scotland OR Network for a panel discussion on how Universities are preparing students to work with and critically evaluate AI.

As AI reshapes analytical work, universities are rethinking how we educate the next generation of OR practitioners. This session brings together academics and recent graduates to explore how Higher Education is:

  • Using AI within Management Science teaching.
  • Preparing students to work with and critically evaluate AI.
  • Responding to challenges around assessment, skills, and academic integrity.

Join us to gain insight into what today’s graduates are actually learning—and what that might mean for the future of OR practice.

Panellists:
Senura Hatharasinghe

Senura is the founder of Ashtara AI, an operational intelligence consultancy, and a Strathclyde MSc graduate in Business Analysis and Consulting. He works at the intersection of operational research, AI, and automation.

Please note that this is a hybrid event and attendees have the option to join in-person at the University of Strathclyde or virtually over Zoom.
