This month’s front cover links O.R. / analytics with the glamourous world of advertising (at least as portrayed on TV). It’s good to see another sector recognising the increased importance of our field. John Hopes, one of the Society’s two Vice Presidents, believes O.R. needs a point of view in order to get itself more exposure in the media. John suggests many areas where we might contribute our thoughts, but what do you think? Does such an opinion need to be controversial?
