Abstract

This month’s cover story is a report of one of the three plenary talks given at July’s EURO2015 conference. Grazia Speranza gave an overview of transportation/logistics development over the last 5000 (yes, 5000!) years. The future, she claimed, would bring a focus on the entire supply chain, and would see autonomous electric vehicles replacing the conventional lorries we see on our road networks now.
