This month’s cover story refers to a new award being instituted by INFORMS, our American sister society, and Syngenta, previous winners of the Edelman award. The Syngenta Crop Challenge will consider how OR and analytics can contribute to the significant challenge of feeding the world’s hungry. A prize of $5,000 is up for grabs.
