Inside O.R. January 2015

Abstract

This month’s front cover isn’t a picture of me after our last auditor’s visit, but a reference to a report from the Criminal Justice Special Interest Group’s latest meeting. This was just one of three varied and interesting talks. Read the article to see the details. In his leader, Stewart Robinson presents a review of performance for the first half of his presidential term of office. He also gives us a flavour of what he hopes to achieve in 2015. No need to call for the substitute just yet. This issue is an Awards Special. There are several reports from the annual Blackett lecture where a whole host of awards were presented. Sir Bruce Keogh’s talk was excellent, and if you missed it and have a spare hour or so over the holiday break, you will find the video of it on both our website and YouTube channel.
