OR61 Social Events

What connects OR and Pinot Noir?

Our annual conference is not all work, work, work. The programme includes some important R&R time on Wednesday afternoon in which to explore social and professional networks in Kent's most beautiful locations - including a vineyard! Places are limited for all social events and booking is essential.

Which one will you choose?

See your OR colleagues in a new light whilst exploring:

Coming to the Gala Dinner?

Kings Hall, Herne Bay, is the venue for this year’s Gala Dinner on Wednesday 4 September. Situated in a hollow at the bottom of The Downs this charming site was originally a military encampment forming part of coastal defences against Bonaparte.

Times:

Depart from Turing College accommodation 19:00 sharp.
For those working later in Sibson building a later coach will depart at 19:15 sharp. (from the large loading bay in front of the main reception at Turing College). Returns to the same place at approx. 11:30-Midnight.

Dinner and dancing from 19:30 – 23:30.
Bring your dancing shoes!

Important Information:

Each of the three afternoon social trips departs from Sibson building

All social trips return to Turing College accommodation.

These depart times are crucial to the arrival times pre-booked at the venues and so the coaches will not be able to wait for latecomers.

If you miss the coach to the gala dinner, the journey takes about half an hour to Herne bay and so you might consider taking a taxi.
