The ‘Seth Bonder Camp in Computational and Data Science for Engineering’ is a summer camp that introduces young people to operational research, computer programming and engineering in the hope of given them a pathways into careers in data science and analytics.

The OR Society has opened applications for its 2022 Master’s Scholarship, worth £10,000. The award is intended to support students who would otherwise be denied opportunities to study operational research because of financial constraints. (Picture: Maryam Mojdehi, our most recent winner.)

The Department for Education has unveiled a significant funding injection of £900 per student for schools and colleges to provide Core Maths qualifications. The focus on Core Maths marks a pivotal step forward in promoting mathematical literacy among post-16 students.
