EPSRC SAT Appointment

The Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) have strategic advisory teams (SATs) that advise them on research and training strategy from their members’ specialist areas. The SATs have a keen focus on multidisciplinary opportunities.

Recruitment for the SATs are held every two years, with the last round of recruitment having taken place last September. From this recruitment Vadim Zverovich, Head of the Mathematics and Statistics Research Group at the University of the West of England (UWE) in Bristol and member of the ORS Research Committee, was appointed as a SAT member on the Mathematical Science theme.

SATs play an important role in helping with two-way communication between EPSRC and the research community. Vadim being SAT member ensures that the ORS is represented and maintains their voice in helping guide the EPSRC research priorities and providing strategic advice.

SAT members attend three formal meetings a year and engage in activities such as EPSRC-led workshops, round-table discussions with stakeholders and working groups.

A full list of SAT members can be found here.
