Academy for the Mathematical Sciences: Consultation Events. Have your say!

You may have heard about the development of a UK Academy for the Mathematical Sciences (www.acadmathsci.org.uk). The proposed Academy is intended to be an authoritative and persuasive voice for the whole of the mathematical sciences. Mathematical sciences include but are not limited to mathematics, statistics, and operational research.

The Academy is keen to consult widely to inform the next steps and help identify initial priorities for the Academy’s activities. The consultation exercise will be held from 26 April to 30 June, which will include four online events bringing together opinions from across the wide range of the mathematical sciences community. 

At these events, members of the community will receive an update on progress to date. They will be invited to give input into the organisational structure of the Academy and help shape priorities for its initial programme of activity. A consultation document will also be published on the Academy’s website on 26 April, seeking responses by 30 June.
