Renowned Professor John Boylan Passes Away after Brief Illness.

The Society is saddened to announce the death of Professor John Boylan on 7^th July after a short illness.  John was joint Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of the Operational Research Society.  He was Professor of Business Analytics at Lancaster University and Director of the Lancaster University Centre for Marketing Analytics and Forecasting.  A fuller tribute will appear in due course.

John's funeral will be on Monday 31 July at 11.00am at Oxford Crematorium on Bayswater Road, Headington, Oxford OX3 9RZ.  If you wish to attend please let Carol McLaughlin ([email protected]) know.  John is survived by his wife Jan, to whom we extend our heartfelt sympathy.
