Modelling Legislation - Analysing the impact of the Criminal Justice Act 2003

Abstract

This talk discussed, in case study style, how the provisions of the Criminal Justice Act 2003 were found to impact on the different Criminal Justice System agencies. Discussion focused on the process by which the legislation was distilled into a set of assumptions for modelling, how these were modelled and how the results were reported. Particular emphasis was placed on the importance on including non-OR policy colleagues throughout the process.
