Investigating Inter-organisational Arrangements: an Evolving Approach

Abstract

This discussion paper was drafted for an international workshop on Analysis of Public Policy in Mixed Economies, convened by the International Institute of Management from 25 to 28 July 1982 at its headquarters in what was then West Berlin. This was the fourth of a series of such gatherings of researchers concerned with inter-organisational aspects of public policy in different locations in Europe and North America. I was invited to write some “direct, bib and braces stuff” setting out “my own distinctive approach” to projects on inter-organisational relations “as mindset and method”.
