Annunziata Esposito Amideo

I have been a member of The OR Society since 2018 when I was in the final year of my PhD journey at Kent Business School (University of Kent, Canterbury). I have engaged with majority of the Annual Conferences since then starting with OR60 (presenter, ECR workshop attendee), OR61 (presenter, social media co-ordinator), OR62 Online (social media co-ordinator), OR63 (presenter) and now OR65 where I am the organizer of the Sustainable Development Goals stream.

Contributing to the ORS flagship event has allowed me to widen my network by meeting with both academics and practitioners. I am also an active member of the Women in OR and Analytics Network (WORAN): I have been secretary of the network and Chair of the PR & Media Subcommittee (now just a member). Being part of WORAN has exposed me to a supportive women network in the OR discipline and discussion-provoking events. So, being part of the ORS and WORAN has definitely been a positive experience and I look forward to the future!
