Refunds Policy

The OR Society has a range of facilities available online.

Items available to buy include books, keynote / tutorial papers from past society conferences and also membership with The OR Society. Items available to book in advance include training courses, with trainers carefully selected for their expertise and experience and also conferences organised by The OR Society.

The refunds policy for these items is set out below.

Membership

The OR Society will send, normally by email, acknowledgement of receipt of any order for membership.

You have 14 days from the date of the acknowledgement during which you can cancel your order and receive a full refund.

Conferences, training courses and other events

The OR Society will send, normally by email, acknowledgement of receipt of any prepaid order.

Provided the order is placed at least seven days before the start of the conference, training course or other event, you have seven days from the date of the acknowledgement during which you can cancel your order and receive a full refund. Your order will not be actioned until after the seven-day period has expired. If a booking is cancelled after the expiry of the seven-day period, but more than one month before the start of the conference, training course or other event, any fees paid will be refunded, though an administration charge of £25 may be made. If a booking is cancelled less than one month before the start of the conference, training course or other event, any costs The OR Society had incurred on your behalf at the time of cancellation, plus an administration charge of £25, will be retained. Any balance of fees paid will be refunded. For cancellations less than seven working days prior to the event date no refunds will be made.

If your order is placed less than seven days before the start of the conference, training course or other event, your order will be actioned immediately and if you then cancel, any costs The OR Society had incurred on the your behalf at the time of cancellation, plus an administration charge of £25, will be retained. Any balance of fees paid will be refunded.

Advertisements

The OR Society will send, normally by email, acknowledgement of receipt of any prepaid advertisement order.

Provided the order is placed at least seven days before the copy deadline, you have seven days from the date of the acknowledgement during which you can cancel your order and receive a full refund. Your order will not be actioned until after the seven-day period has expired.
