Invenia Labs uses machine learning, alongside economic and physical modelling, to find and implement solutions to the world’s most complex problems.

Currently based in Canada and the UK, Invenia uses machine learning to optimise electrical grids. The team improves these networks by participating directly in their planning process, reducing waste and inefficiencies, and lowering CO₂ emissions.

Invenia’s application of machine learning to electrical grids is one of the largest stealth deployments of technology in the world and a novel approach to reducing CO₂ emissions at scale. Because of this, they are now the largest single provider of optimization to North American electricity grids.
