Scenario Planning, a tool to explore alternative futures, has been used by organisations for many years. Over the same period, it has attracted the attention of numerous scholars across a range of disciplines including management and O.R.

This one day event has been jointly organized by the Strategy Special Interest Groups of the OR Society and the British Academy of Management. Its purpose is to bring together a collection of speakers to share their varied experiences and reflect on developments in the scenario planning field. We are delighted to have eight speakers from across the practitioner-academic spectrum, including those who develop and use scenarios, those who facilitate scenario development in participative settings and those who research into the field.

To Book: There is a small charge of £20.00 + VAT to cover refreshments, lunch and printing.

For BAM members only – to avoid paying VAT, Members of BAM are advised to book via the BAM website at http://www.bam.ac.uk/civicrm/event/info?id=2778&reset=1

Parking: We suggest that participants park in either car park 7 or 15, which are “pay on foot” car parks. A barrier restricts access to these car parks. Users must take either a ticket or blue chip coin from the machine on entry, which will cause the barrier to raise. To exit the car park, payment must be made at the pay station located close to the exit. Once the payment has been made, the ticket or blue chip coin will allow exit when it is placed into the barrier machine at the exit. Participants should expect to pay £3.00 to park for the full day.

Participants may also use pay and display car parks: 8, 8a, 8, 10, 10a, 10b, 12 and 13. Entry to these car parks is unrestricted. A ticket must be purchased for the required time period (we would recommend participants pay the full £3.00 for full day parking) and the ticket displayed in the vehicle.  Participants should not use any other car park.  We cannot reserve spaces for participants and cannot guarantee that spaces will be available.
