The OR Society’s Simulation Workshop (SW23) brings together our community of experts working in the field of modelling and simulation. Hosted at the National Oceanography Centre, Southampton, the conference runs from Monday 27 - Wednesday 29 March 2023 and will provide an opportunity for practitioners and academics to exchange ideas on the current and future state-of-the-art in modelling and simulation.

The Council for the Mathematical Sciences has taken an important step towards creating a National Academy for the Mathematical Sciences with the appointment of an Executive Committee and Executive Director to carry out the feasibility and set-up phase.

We are looking to appoint our new Executive Director and the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing and delivering the Society’s future strategy to enable it to continue to play a key role in the growth of operational research.
