Seb Hargreaves, executive director of The OR Society, explains why entrepreneurs would benefit from mastering Operational Research and how its the most powerful, yet most overlooked, tool in the business arsenal.

The OR Society, is thrilled to take part in Maths Week England during 13th to 18th November, and is offering educational resources to teachers and students to bring the world of "maths in the real world" to students, highlighting how maths can be applied, how fun it can be as well as the exciting career pathways it can lead to.

The Titan Series will spotlight prominent academics in their fields of Information Systems and Operational Research. The Editors will invite distinguished scholars to write reflective papers, often taking the form of authoritative position papers.

WISDOM (Women in Society: Doing Operational Research and Management Science) is a forum within the EURO (The Association of European Operational Research Societies) that aims to support, empower, and encourage the participation of all genders in Operations Research and Management Science (shortly OR). One of the goals of WISDOM is to promote championing, networking, and mentoring, particularly of women at the early stages of their careers in OR.
