EPSRC seek new members for their Strategic Advisory Team

By EPSRC

The EPSRC Mathematical Sciences Theme are recruiting new members to their Strategic Advisory Team (SAT). The SAT exists to provide the Mathematical Sciences Theme with strategic advice that will enable us to develop, implement and modify plans. SATs are devised as a flexible resource, enabling Theme Leads to obtain the advice they need in a timely manner, drawing on a range of perspectives from across our key stakeholder groups.

They are recruiting for the following positions:

  • Vacancy 1: The Mathematical Sciences Theme are looking to appoint an Early Career Mathematician to sit on their SAT. This position acts to link our Early Career Forum with our SAT therefore the successful candidate will be asked to also sit on the Mathematical Sciences Early Career Forum. We welcome applications from any area of Mathematical Sciences (Academic Only).
  • Vacancies 2-5: The Mathematical Sciences Theme welcome applications from across the breadth of our mathematical sciences portfolio (Academic Only).
  • Vacancy 6: The Mathematical Sciences Theme are looking to appoint a user of Mathematics from outside of academia. We welcome applicants with any background (Industry/User Only).

Diverse representation within our advisory bodies is important to ensure we include a range of opinions and viewpoints in our decision making. Appointments to the advisory teams are made primarily on merit and we are keen to obtain greater diversity across the membership. We particularly encourage applications from women, from people who identify as an ethnic minority, people with a disability, and other groups who are currently under-represented. We welcome applications from people based in all regions and nations of the UK. All applications are anonymised prior to assessment against the essential criteria. Applications are open until 29th July.
